Soladin 600

 

The LED's are blinking yellow, what does it means?

Inverter is working perfectly

 

The inverter shows red light continuously, what does it mean?

The inverter is not connected to the grid. Please check if the grid connector is placed, and check the fuses on the meter cupboard. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact your installer or grid supplier.

 

LED's are blinking red 2 times, what does this mean?

The voltage of the solar panels is to high. Please contact your installer

 

LED's are blinking red 3 times, what does this mean?

The grid voltage is to high. Please contact your installer or the grid supplier

 

LED's are blinking red 4 times, what does this mean?

The grid voltage is to low. Please contact your installer or the grid supplier

 

LED's are blinking red 5 times, what does this mean?

The grid frequency is to high/low. Please contact your installer or the grid supplier

 

LED's are blinking red 6 times, what does this mean?

The internal temperature of the inverter is too high. Check if ambient temperature is not too high, and check if the air supply of the soladin not is blocked. If there are installed multiple inverters, check if they are not installed too close to each other. The free space around the inverter should be minimal 20cm.  If this doens't solve the problem, please contact your installer

 

LED's are blinking red 7 times, what does this mean?

Soladin is broken. Please contact your installer for repair or exchange of the inverter

 

Is it possible to read out the applied energy off the past days?

Yes, you can read out all the measured values with the computer. For this, you need an adapter (PC-link, RS232) and software. This adapter is available via your installer. If your computer doesn't have a RS232 port, there are also USB-RS232 adapters available. You can download the software for free from the website: http://images.mastervolt.nl/files/Soladin_600_Wizard_1.5.2.zip

 

The communication cable between the soladin and the computer is too short. Are there longer cables available?

Yes, the maximal cable length is 10 meter. Extended cables are available via your installer/supplier. If you want to create your own extended cable, please check the original cable connection. (wires are crossed, not straight

 

From how many days can i read out the applied energy with the Soladin software?

The soladin will save the data of maximal 10 days.

 

I have installed the soladin software, but the software doesn't recognize my soladin. How is this possible?

This can be due to several reasons;
1. It is night, so the inverter is not powered.
2. The settings of the COM-port of your PC are not right
3. The COM-port of your PC is still in use by another program
4. The communication cable between inverter and computer is not connected properly, or a wrong cable is used.

 

Can I read out the applied energy off multiple inverters at the same time?

No, read out the inverter is possible with only one inverter connected.

 

Is the monitoring software also available for other operating systems? (such as linux, mac OS ect.)

No, the software is only available for Windows 95 or higher

 

Can i connect a display wich shows the generated energy?

Yes, the SunWatch 25 can be used

XL10 / XL15

 

All LED indicators are off, what does this mean?

There is no power from the solar panels. There is no irradiation due to bad weather or night. If there is enough irradiation, check DC switched or DC fuses. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact you installer.

 

LED "3 phase block" at one of more power modules is illuminated yellow. What does this mean?

1. One of the masterbus cables is not or wrong connected. Check if the modules are all connected to each other via the masterbus cable, and if the cable is in the masterbus connector, and not the RS485 connector.
2. One of the masterbus terminators is not placed at the end of the bus. Check if there is a terminator at the beginning and the end point of the masterbus.
3. The modules are set wrong. Please contact your installer.

 

LED "Diagnostic" constantly illuminated red and LED "on" blinking slowly green. What does this mean?

Inverter is starting up. This may take up to 5 minutes.

 

LED "Diagnostic" is illuminated red on one ore more power modules. What does this mean?

There is something wrong in the installation. Please turn of the DC switch and contact your installer.

 

LED "Diagnostic" is blinking red at one or more of the power modules. What does this mean?

There is an internal hardware failure in the power module. Write down witch LED's are lighting or blinking, and contact your installer.

 

 

XS****

 

LED are off and display show's nothing, what does this mean?

There is no DC power.
1. It is bad weather or night. There is not enough light to start the inverter
2. The yellow DC switch is turned off, turn on the switch and wait a couple of minutes

 

Display shows "WAIT 0:30" (or another value), what does this mean?

The inverter is starting up. The value means the remaining time until the inverter will start.

 

Display shows "SOL1 LOW" or "SOL2 LOW". What does this mean?

The voltage of one of the solar inputs is low. This can appear by sunrise, sunset or bad weather. The minimal voltage of the XS inverters is 100V. If the text more times appears by clear weather and good irradiation, please contact your installer.

 

Display shows "Country". What does this mean?

The country of the solar installation needs to be set. Select the country of the solar installation. Use the button right-down to scroll trough the list, en use the button right-up to set the selected country, followed by the button left-down to confirm. If you want to set the country again, hold down the button right-up for a couple of seconds, and follow the same steps.

 

Display shows " TEMP HI" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

The internal temperature of the inverter is too high. Check if the air inputs aren't blocked. When there are more inverters installed, check also that these inverters aren't placed to near to each other. The minimal distance between the inverter is 10cm, the distance between two inverters should be minimal 50cm. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact your installer.

 

Display shows "SOL1 HIGH" or "SOL2 HIGH" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

The voltage of one of the solar inputs is too high. Them maximal voltages are:
XS2000: 450V
XS3200: 600V
XS4300: 550V
Turn off the DC switch, and contact your installer.

 

Display shows "NO GRID and the error led is on. What does this mean?

There is no grid connection. Check the cable and connector for the AC power, and check the fuses in the meter cupboard. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact your installer

 

Display shows "ENS OFF" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

The grid quality is outside normal limits. This can be due to bad wiring or connection to the grid. If the problem remains, please contact your installer or the grid supplier.

 

Display shows "G83 OFF" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

The grid quality is outside normal limits. This can be due to bad wiring or connection to the grid. If the problem remains, please contact your installer or the grid supplier.

 

Display shows "VAC LOW" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

The grid voltage is too low. Please contact your installer or grid supplier

 

Display shows "VAC HIGH" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

The grid voltage is too high. Please contact your installer or grid supplier

 

Display shows "INSULATION" and the error led is on. What does this mean?

There is an ground leak between PV modules and ground. Please contact your installer.

 

The error LED is fast blinking and the display shows an unclear message. What does this mean?

There is an internal hardware failure in the inverter. Write down the exact text shown on the display, and contact your installer.

 

 

 

QS2000/3500 IP44

 

LED's are off and display show's nothing, what does this mean?

There is no DC power.
1. It is bad weather or night. There is not enough light to start the inverter
2. The yellow DC switch is turned off, turn on the switch and wait a couple of minutes

The voltage of one of the solar inputs is low. This can appear by sunrise, sunset or bad weather. The minimal voltage of the QS inverters is 100V. If the text more times appears by clear weather and good irradiation, please contact your installer.

The inverter is broken. Write down the exact text shown on the display, and contact your installer.

 

QS 1200/3200/6400 (max-I)

 

All LEDs are off, even the "On" LED. What does this mean?

No DC Power. There is no irradiation due to bad weather or night. If there is enough light, check optional placed DC switched or DC fuses. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact you installer.

 

The "ON" LED is blinking, what does this mean?

Inverter is just starting up. This may take up to 5 minutes.

 

The LED "Diagnostic" is illuminated RED in combination with led "100%". What does it mean?

There is a ground leak between PV modules and ground, Please contact your installer.

 

The LED "Diagnostic" is illuminated RED in combination with led "75%". What does it mean?

The internal temperature of the inverter is too high. Check if the air inputs aren't blocked. When there are more inverters installed, check also that these inverters aren't placed to near to each other. The minimal distance between the inverter is 10cm, the distance between two inverters should be minimal 30cm. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact your installer.

 

The LED "Diagnostic" is illuminated RED in combination with led "50%". What does it mean?

The grid quality is outside normal limits. This can be due to bad wiring or connection to the grid. If the problem remains, please contact your installer or the grid supplier.

 

The LED "Diagnostic" is illuminated RED in combination with led "25%". What does it mean?

The voltage of one of the solar inputs is too high. The maximal voltage of the max-I inverters is 325V. Turn off the DC switch, and contact your installer.

 

The LED "Diagnostic" is illuminated RED in combination with led "On". What does it mean?

There is no grid connection, or the grid is outside normal limits. Check the grid connector, and the fuse on the meter cupboard. If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact your installer or grid supplier.

 

 

 

Sunwatch 25

 

There is no connection between display and sender. How is this possible?

Check the dipswitch settings of the sender and the display. These switches are for settings the communication channel. The switches should be set exact the same on display and sender. See the manual for detailed information.

 

The display doesn't turn on anymore. How is this possible?

The battery's of the display are empty. Replace the battery's(2x AA penlite). If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact your supplier.

 

The measured value's are 0 or incorrect. How is this possible?

The can be due to several reasons:
1. The sender is wrong connected, and is measuring wrong.
2. The display is connected with another sender. Check if the dipswitch settings on display and sender are the same. If they are, then try another channel by changing the dipswitches on display and sender.

 

 

DataControl

 

The DataControl can not find all inverters. How is this possible?

There is a problem with the RS485 connection. Check all the cables between the inverter and the DataControl. Mind that the cable is placed in the RS485 connector, and that the right cables are used (not straight).

 

I can not find the DataControl with the software. How is this possible?

Check if all cables are connected properly. If the datalogger is set on DHCP, the datalogger have no static IP address, but it will get automatically an IP address. This IP address can change. Check if the IP address is changed, and change this in the monitoring software.

 

The data will not be send to the portal anymore. How is this possible?

This can be due to a lot of reasons. Please contact your installer.
