Your sailing profile

The Mastervolt system described below assumes a frequently occurring situation. You sail out of the marina in the morning and plan to spend the day with two to four people, enjoying time on the water onboard your motoryacht. In the evening you either cruise back to your home port or hop from one marina to the next where you have access to shore power. The usual appliances are always onboard and you also want to use equipment that you brought with you such as your laptop.

Your onboard consumers include:

DC consumers:

description total x capacity x hour daily consumption
GPS, depth gauge, log 3 x 5 Watt x 6 hour = 0.09 kWh
Interior lighting 3 x 10 Watt x 4 hour = 0.12 kWh
Water pump 2 x 30 Watt x 0.5 hour = 0.03 kWh
Radio/CD player 1 x 40 Watt x 4 hour = 0.16 kWh
Refrigerator 1 x 40 Watt x 3 hour = 0.12 kWh
Several small consumers 1 x 10 Watt x 6 hour = 0.06 kWh

AC consumers:

LCD TV 1 x 50 Watt x 2 hour = 0.10 kWh
Laptop 1 x 30 Watt x 3 hour = 0.09 kWh

Total DC and AC consumers

= 0.8 kWh
